Truck drivers are some of the most interesting people that are never explored in the way my good friend Jon Bakos has done in the past year. Thinking about being a truck driver is a crazy idea to me. Leaving all your friends and family for days or weeks at a time in hopes to make enough money to support the ones they have left behind.

Every week last fall Jon would take his 4×5 camera and go to one of the larger truck stop in Massachusetts where he would approach truck drivers both day and night in hopes that they would let him photograph their likeness. The photograph above and below are two of my favorites from the series and there are a lot more on his website that he recently put together.
