What’s up with that?
Saturday, May 26th, 2007Short post about two things that I just read that bothered me a bit.
One: Stephen Shore reprinted Uncommon Places digitally and NYT magazine called it a rejuvenation of the work. (what ever that means)
Two: Ryan Mcginley is buying friends and making things happen opposed to actually having friends and photographing real moments that really happen. But I think the second two below are kind of amazing. Going to Maine tomorrow after just getting back from New York for one day to unsuccessfully look for an apartment. I am going to live at my grandma’s in New Jersey for the summer and commute in everyday.
New Website update shortly. It is currently being coded because it has already been designed and all the photographs are scanned and edited. Should have it up by next weekend.
Examples of Ryan Mcginley’s new work:

Untitled (Bathtub), 2005

Oliver (Shower), 2005

Untitled (Yellow Sky), 2006
