Polaroids and Portfolios!

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Here are two new sites that I came across this week that I am pretty into.

The first is called NYCPP or the New York City Polaroid Project. The site is a collection of Polaroids that photographer Andrew Faris took after moving to New York City right out of college. Most of the Polaroids are sides of buildings, strange shadows, or things that someone new to a city would recognize. There is an innocence to the photographs that are strictly based around exploration of place through photography. Not a new idea, but still a fun site to check out.

The second site is called No Plastic Sleeves. The site is a blog dedicated to finding original promo and portfolios pieces that artists and photographers have put together. There are a lot of hand bound books, crazy business cards, and unique websites showcasing portfolios of artists. The best part is anyone can submit, so if you have an awesome promo you want to share go to the site and send some in!
